PTA Fund

Canyon Crest is dedicated to their students, teachers, faculty and parents. It is Canyon Crest's top priority to provide the best in everything.

Canyon Crest wants to support their teachers, students and staff in every way possible.

How does PTA do this?    Time & Money!  PTA is a volunteer program to help run the school and make it a better place. It requires a lot of money to help the school, programs and pay for supplies.

Where Does The Money Go?

We understand that no matter what we do we can not stop the world from natural disasters or other emergencies. This is why we have decided to take the stance of "Be Prepared". We can't stop it but we can be prepared for if or when it happens.

We hope that you can support The PTA in trying to make our school a better, safer place for our community!

01

Teachers and Staff

-It is very expensive to run a school.  Teachers are paid a minimal salary, yet put hours into educating our future.  We like to reward our teachers and staff for all they do. We give them gifts during the holiday season and teacher appreciation week.  We also provide lunches and snacks for the long days they are there for parent teacher conferences.

02

Students

-Our students work very hard day in and day out. They need materials to create, learn and succeed. There is not enough money to fund these ways to learn without the PTA.  Your donation makes it so these students can have an amazing learning experience with hands on activities, including field trips.

Programs and Activities

-There are many programs run by the school that benefit these kids.  They wouldn't be possible with out the money from PTA. We are able to fund field trips (including the transportation to and from).  The buses cost the school money. The PTA also funds the Space Lab, Cotillion, Parents & Pastries, Field Day, Dia Day Los Muertos, STEM fair and much more.

Regular Training For Student's, Parents/Visitors, Faculty & Staff

-The school has been great at practicing drills so they can be prepared in a live situation.       Some drills the school practices are fire, earthquake, intruder lock down, soft lock down,     chemical spill and more. In addition to these drills we would like to add more drills and         ask the parents/visitors for their help

-We will hold assemblies to educate the students to NEVER open an outside, locked door       for anyone, unless they have a badge. We want the students to understand that this is         not the time or place to be kind. There are proper channels that each visitor needs to go        through in order to have access to our school.

-We will start running drills where visitors will ask for access to the school without                   proper identification. This is critical in keeping the school safe and being prepared.

         - We would also ask parents and visitors to PLEASE check into the office EVERY                      time they visit the school, even if it is just for a minute. We are trying to set a                          standard. Even if the students and staff know you, there is a protocol that we all                    must follow!

MUCH MORE!!!

-We would love to list all things PTA pays for but that would take pages.  PTA not only requires time but money.  Thank you so much for your contribution.  If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out to us through facebook messenger, email us by clicking on "Contact Us" button below.

The PTA has spent many hours researching ideas and solutions for the many difficulties we face each day.

Our intent is not to scare or worry anyone but to give added comfort that each person inside Canyon Crest is taken care of.

This is a process and we ask for you patience as we implement these new plans and policies.

We'd love any extra support, help or ideas that you have. Feel free to email or                       us any time.

We hope you see that we are trying to make this school a better place, a safe place for each child and the best environment for learning!
